Praying For Our Country's Leaders

Over the past several weeks as God continues to patiently remind me that He wants me to pray for our leaders--whether I voted for them or not--Scripture has been my guide as to how to pray according to His will and not my emotions or reasoning.

Job 29 has been a guide used thus far in addition to the verses shared in the January post.

Below is a sample of how those verses have been used.

Dear Lord,
May Your lamp shine over the head of our President and his Cabinet; and my Your light illuminate their path in the darkness.

May Godly wisdom flow through their minds and hearts, and fall from their lips.  May Your wisdom be received by the President and his Cabinet and others that hear them, see them, or are in their presence.

May others bless the President and his Cabinet.

May the President and his Cabinet help and deliver the poor, the fatherless, and he/she that has none to help them according to Your will.

May the President and his Cabinet break the jaws of the wicked with grace and truth and disperse their goods according to Your will, Lord.

May the President and Cabinet put on the robe of Godly righteousness and cast off pride, falsehood, and self-righteousness.

Unto the President and Cabinet, may men give ear, wait, and keep silent at Godly counsel they give.

May the President and Cabinet help men make Godly choices and sit as leaders according to Your will Lord.

May the President and his Cabinet give Godly comfort to mourners.
