What Adam Lacked...
Genesis 2:21-22
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof: And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
God chose to provide for the man by taking something from the man. God, the great physician, performed surgery with supernatural anesthesia.
God took a piece of Adam, and did not replace this piece/rib. The missing piece was used to fashion a woman. The woman now had what the man lacked.
God fashioned the woman to be the suitable being for the man. Then God brought the woman to the man.
